In summary, the average ratios of the RES capacity, ESS battery, and PCS capacity for PV and WT were 1:3.3:0.7 and 1:3:1, respectively. Therefore, only ESS combined with a single PV or WT is considered in this study, unless a new compensation rule is established for ESS with hybrid PV and WT, which has not yet been established in Korea. To verify the proposed algorithm and compare the results of the PV and WT cases, the same 1500 kW PV and WT (P RES) were simulated.
