Commercial Operation Date (CoD) of Pumped Hydro Storage Plant COD shall be the date on which the commissioning certificate is issued upon successful commissioning of the full capacity of the Project as per applicable Grid Code. The 40-year tenure of PHSPPA shall be as per the provisions of PHSPPA.
The procurement is on the basis of 40 years long term Pumped Hydro Storage Power Procurement Agreement (PHSPPA) with the Procurer/s. The input energy for charging shall be provided by the Procurer/s at Delivery Point up to the declared Cycle Loss. Pre-bid meeting shall be conducted at UPPCL Office, Lucknow.
The pumped hydro storage should be capable of delivering 6 hours of continuous discharge Conversion Efficiency measured at the Delivery Point, and in reference to a complete cycle (full charge and full discharge) is ratio of output energy to input energy at Delivery Point.
